Teens toothpaste 8-18 years
It is typical for school-age children, including adolescents, to suffer not only from cavities but also from periodontal inflammatory diseases, driven primarily by a sharp decrease in the parents control and, consequently, poor oral hygiene. We recommend parents to brush their child's teeth until the age of 10, and afterwards to provide strict control over the regularity and observance of toothbrushing rules by teens. Responsibility including that for dental health of children rests solely on parents! Be sure to visit your dentist and dental hygienist together with your child at least twice a year!
The most widely used means of hygiene on the basis of soluble salts of fluoride are used in order to prevent dental cavities of school-age children. The mechanism of anticarious fluoride action is implemented by improving enamel resistance to the dissolving action of acids. Currently, it has been clinically confirmed that not all sources of fluoride allowed for using in hygiene products are equally effective in protecting teeth from decay. We prefer organic salts of fluoride, as data from clinical trials on the anticarious effectiveness of aminofluorides demonstrate their higher capacity in comparison with inorganic salts of fluorine. The combination of aminofluoride and xylitol used in R.O.C.S. Teens toothpastes makes it possible to reduce concentration of active fluoride without loss of clinical efficacy of a hygienic means that increases its safety when used by teenagers.
If it is contraindicated or undesirable for a teen to use fluorides (living in areas of endemic fluorosis, intake of drugs containing fluoride, thyroid disease, etc.), we recommend that you use the fluoride-free R.O.C.S. kids toothpastes depending on the age of a child or transfer to the application of R.O.C.S. fluoride-free toothpastes for adults.
